Gyprock and Knauf plasterboard installation for commercial builders across Perth metro. Standard, fire-rated, acoustic and moisture-resistant board fixed and flushed to Level 4 finish.
Get a Quote in 24 Hours →Commercial plasterboard work is fundamentally different from residential. Commercial projects demand fire-rated wall systems, acoustic separation, NCC compliance, and tight coordination with multiple trades working to a programme. The wrong contractor costs builders time and money — callbacks, cracked joints, board sitting out of spec, and a painter who can't work with what you've handed them.
At Crafted Up, commercial plasterboard is our core trade. We install and flush Gyprock, Knauf, USG Boral and CSR systems for builders, fitout contractors and project managers across the Perth metropolitan area. Every board is fixed to pattern, every joint flushed to Level 4, every project documented on Fieldwire from first fix to PC.
We work exclusively in the commercial space — no residential side jobs, no learning on your project. Just experienced installers who read the drawings, coordinate with the other trades, and deliver a lining job that painters can work with and builders are proud to hand over.
Commercial plasterboard isn't one product it's a whole family of specialist boards designed for different performance requirements. We install the full range and know which board belongs where.
10mm and 13mm standard board for general commercial walls and ceilings. Fixed and flushed to Level 4 finish for paint.
Gyprock CD / Knauf StandardSpecialist fire-rated plasterboard for walls and ceilings requiring FRL ratings from 30 to 120 minutes. BCA / NCC compliant.
Fyrchek / Knauf FireshieldDenser plasterboard for noise-sensitive walls in offices, hotels, schools, and healthcare where STC ratings matter.
Soundchek / Gyprock SuperchekMR plasterboard for commercial wet areas, bathrooms, kitchens and any location with elevated humidity exposure.
Aquachek / Knauf AquaHigh-traffic corridors, schools, hospitals, childcare, and anywhere walls take a beating. Tougher face paper and core.
Impactchek / Knauf Impact25mm shaftliner for lift shaft walls, service risers and one-sided fire-rated shaft wall systems.
Shaftliner / Knauf ShaftwallThe level of finish determines how smooth the plasterboard surface needs to be, based on how it'll be decorated and how exposed it is to critical lighting. Specifying the right level up front saves arguments at handover.
Our typical plasterboard package covers everything from first fix through to paint-ready finish. We can supply and install, or install client-supplied materials if the builder prefers to procure direct.
Lots of crews can hang board. Here's why builders across Perth keep calling Crafted Up back for commercial plasterboard work.
30+ years on commercial projects — warehouse fitouts, EV showrooms, defence facilities, school refurbs, award-winning commercial builds across Canada, NZ and Perth.
Every project documented digitally. Pre-install inspections, progress photos, snags logged before flushing. Full audit trail for builders and certifiers.
We know the Gyprock, Knauf, CSR and USG Boral systems — which board goes where, which fixing pattern achieves the FRL, what satisfies the NCC.
Taping and flushing done in-house, not sub-subbed out. Level 4 as standard, Level 5 available. The painter gets a wall they can actually work with.
We schedule around M&E services, coordinate with electricians and plumbers, communicate proactively when issues arise. We don't hold the programme up.
ICS, Apollo Projects, Leighs Construction, React Building — all repeat clients who value reliable delivery and clean handovers. We're the contractor builders call back.
A proven five-step workflow that keeps your project on programme and your PM in the loop.

View Project →Commercial plasterboard work is fundamentally different. Commercial projects require fire-rated wall systems, acoustic separation to tested assemblies, NCC compliance, coordination with multiple trades on tight programmes, and usually higher finish standards. Residential plasterboard is mostly single-layer standard board with cornice. Hiring a residential contractor for a commercial fitout is one of the fastest ways to blow a programme.
We install Gyprock, Knauf, CSR, and USG Boral systems as standard. We have trade accounts with all of them and choose the right system based on what's specified on the drawings, the performance requirements, and what the builder or specifier has nominated. We don't sub in cheaper off-brand board to save a few dollars — what's specified is what goes up.
Yes. Taping and flushing is done in-house, not sub-subbed out to a separate flusher. Level 4 is our standard — joints taped, two coats feathered, sanded smooth, ready for paint. Level 5 (full skim coat) available on request for gloss paint or critical lighting applications.
Yes — 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute FRL wall and ceiling systems using the correct board type (Fyrchek, Fireshield), fixing patterns, and assembly details from the tested system documentation. Every fire-rated assembly is installed to BCA / NCC compliance. SWMS and install details available on request.
For most commercial fitouts, Level 4 is the right call — it suits flat and low-sheen paints and is the industry standard. Level 3 is only suitable for textured paint or heavy wall coverings. Level 5 (a full skim coat) is only needed for gloss finishes or walls exposed to critical raking light. If you're not sure, specify Level 4 and you'll be right 95% of the time.
It varies with board type, single vs double layer, ceiling height, fire and acoustic requirements, and access. As a rough guide, a basic single-layer 10mm standard wall lining flushed to Level 4 is typically $55–75/m² supplied and installed. Fire-rated double-layer assemblies can run $95–140/m² or more depending on the FRL and complexity. Send us the drawings for an actual price within 24 hours.
Both. We can supply and install turn-key, or install client-supplied materials if the builder is procuring direct from Westgyp, Gyprock or another merchant. Either way, the install quality is the same.
