NZDF Vehicle Support Facility
Base-build plasterboard lining with enhanced sealant compliance for the New Zealand Defence Force's vehicle maintenance and repair facility.
Project Scope
The facility is designed to support rapid, on-site repair of technical equipment and military vehicles, ensuring the NZDF's logistical readiness. Leighs Construction selected Crafted Up to deliver the base-build plasterboard lining.
We mounted thousands of square metres of 10 mm and 13 mm boards on full-height walls and bespoke feature reveals, then applied a Level 4 flush finish for uniformity. We applied sealant to every plasterboard layer and screw head, exceeding NCC Volume Two wet-area requirements and NZDF's seal-tight mandates. All work was executed alongside other trades, coordinating handovers to maintain the overall build programme.
